Five to seven impressions can seem daunting, and a bit like stalking. However, it can be done successfully with the appropriate use of public relations tools - meaning greater awareness of you and/or your business and no restraining order.
Consider the following chain of events for a prospective client/customer:
- Prospective client sees editorial in trade publication that was written by you or someone in your organization
- They then visit your website (since it was referred to in the About the Author section of article)
- While on your website - signs up for e-newsletter
- Reads e-newsletter and views video you produced that was linked in the newsletter
- Decides to follow you/your company on Twitter
- You reply with thank you tweet and send link to frequently asked questions about your company/industry.
- You/your company receive media coverage which prospective client sees.
